From Pond to Party Deck – Galley Common Landscaping Garden Transformation
This one started as a bit of an unusual project – building a bespoke composite deck over the top of an old pond. The challenge? Keep the character of the original brickwork on show, while creating a stylish raised entertaining space that feels modern and welcoming.
We built a treated timber sub-frame, then laid a light grey composite deck for the main inlay, finished with contrasting charcoal facias. Timber newel posts, painted a complimentary grey, were paired with decorative rope balustrades – adding both safety and a touch of coastal charm.
To finish the look, we added artificial green wall panels along the fencing, transforming the space into a private, leafy retreat. Black cup end fixings give the whole deck a crisp, polished finish.
